The Knoxville chapter of IBPSA-USA was formed to facilitate networking and communication between energy modelers as well as increase awareness of Building Energy Modeling (BEM) work in the Knoxville area and Oak Ridge National Laboratory's Building Technologies Research and Integration Center (BTRIC). Members of this local chapter are active contributors to EnergyPlus, Spawn of EnergyPlus (SOEP), and OpenStudio funded by the U.S. Department of Energy's Building Technologies Office.
