Building Tours
SimBuild 2010 Building Tours
$15 per tour
Tours will give SimBuild participants a chance to see inside some of New York City's smartest and highest-performing buildings. Note that tours are limited to 20 people and they will fill up fast, so register early. You may register for tours at the same time as you register for the conference.
Tours will be approximately 2 hours each.
Please note that tours of the Empire State Building and the New York Times Building are not yet scheduled, but will be held on Tuesday, Aug. 10, or Saturday, Aug. 14. We will notify conference registrants when registration for those tours becomes available.

41 Cooper Square: New Cooper Union academic and lab building in the East Village with a LEED platinum target
- Highlights include radiant heating and cooling, rainwater harvesting, multi-story atrium, cogeneration plant, mesh façade shading system
- Received 2010 New York AIA Honor Award
Tuesday, August 10, 2pm
One Bryant Park: 54-story skyscraper that serves as the headquarters for the Bank of America with a LEED platinum target
- Highlights include ice storage system, cogeneration plant, underfloor air distribution, high performance curtainwall system
Saturday, August 14, 2pm
The Visionaire: LEED platinum residential tower in Battery Park City
- Highlights include blackwater treatment system, high indoor air quality ventilation system, green roof
- Received 2009 New York AIA Honor Award
