IBPSA-USA San Francisco Bay Area Chapter
Online / DPR Construction (Training room) - 945 Front St. San Francisco, CA 94111
August 15, 2018
The presentation will provide an overview the new ASHRAE Standard 209, Building Simulation Aided Design. The presentation will also tell the story of how the standard came to be, following a generation of mixed success by energy modelers who were trying to make an impact. The talk will include extra focus on requirements in the standard that may present challenges to some energy modelers, and some keys to successful implementation.
The presentation will be followed by a discussion on some of these challenges and best practices that attendees have used to address them. Example challenges include obtaining information from design teams and requirements for quick turnaround to meet project timelines.
